Terms of Use

Last updated 4 September 2026. Vabop is made by Marcos Cunha, Miami, Florida.

These terms cover the Vabop app and this website. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here seems unfair, write to us and say so.

Who may use Vabop

Vabop is made for young children to use alongside a parent or carer. The account holder must be an adult, and an adult agrees to these terms on behalf of the family. A child uses the app under your supervision.

What you get

A licence to use Vabop on the Apple devices you own or control, for your family's personal, non commercial use. The app, its artwork, its characters, its recordings and its text belong to us and stay ours. You may not copy, resell, rent out, reverse engineer or extract the artwork, audio or lesson content.

The free trial, and what a subscription costs

Vabop is free for the first fourteen days after you set up your first child. During the trial everything is unlocked and we do not ask for payment details.

After the trial, continuing costs either a monthly subscription or a yearly one. The current price of each is shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency, and prices may vary by country and with Apple's pricing. The yearly plan costs less per month than the monthly plan. All purchases are made through the App Store.

Both plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged when it renews. We will not raise the price of a subscription you already hold without telling you first, and Apple will ask you to agree before any increase takes effect.

Cancelling, which we make easy on purpose

Cancel any time in the device Settings under your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, then Vabop. It takes two taps. We will never require a phone call, a chat with someone trying to talk you out of it, or an email to a support address. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew after that.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policy, because Apple takes the payment, not us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you believe you were treated unfairly, write to us anyway and we will do what we reasonably can.

Content you add

You may add photos and a child's first name. That content stays on your device, we never receive it, and it remains yours. You are responsible for having the right to use any photo you add.

What Vabop is not

Vabop is a toy and a teaching aid. The parent Snapshot describes what your child has done in the app. It is not a test, not an assessment, not a diagnosis, and it cannot tell you whether a child has a speech, hearing or developmental difference. If you have any concern about your child's development, speak to your paediatrician or a speech and language professional. Nothing in Vabop replaces that.

Availability

We aim to keep the app working and to fix what breaks, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of every bug. The app is provided as is and as available, to the fullest extent the law allows in your country. Some places do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, and where that is true, those rules apply to you instead of this paragraph.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Vabop is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending things

You may stop using Vabop and delete it at any time. We may suspend access if the app is being used in a way that breaks these terms or the law. If we ever did that to a paying family, we would explain why and refund the unused part of what you paid.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Vabop. Apple is a third party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store Terms of Service.

The legal footing

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of laws rules, and the courts of Miami-Dade County are the venue for disputes. If you are a consumer somewhere with stronger local protections, those protections still apply to you. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

Changes

If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new date. Changes that affect what you already paid for will never apply retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
